North STL residents call for action at Grand Motel

ST. LOUIS – North St. Louis people met Saturday morning at Thessalonian Baptist Church to phone for variations at a regional motel.

Shortly following 10 a.m., numerous knocked on neighborhood doorways to listen to their thoughts on The Grand Motel. Some citizens say the home is a continued nuisance.

“It’s a undesirable apple and an eyesore, so we’re hoping to get rid of it and which is about it,” reported North Metropolis resident Tina Hardin.  

Third Ward Alderman Brandon Bosely explained Saturday was meant to tackle unfavorable issues on the property, like material abuse, trash and prostitution.

“There’s a nuisance listening to coming up for a house that we’ve been obtaining some challenges inside of the ward, and the citizens are coming alongside one another so we can communicate to other citizens in the ward and notify them about the nuisance,” Bosley mentioned. 

“We really don’t want to see trash or needles outdoors. These are matters that persons don’t want to see.” 

But the proprietor of the Grand Motel states all the things is good.

Bosley explained the intent isn’t to force the Grand Motel out of business, but anything wants to be completed.
