SPD orders autopsy for man found dead on Myers Middle School property
At about 6:45 p.m. on March 13, Savannah Police and Savannah-Chatham Board of Education and learning officers responded to a contact at Myers Center College, 2025 E. 52nd St. There, officers learned the entire body of Joshua Mills, 28.
At this time, SPD considers this a “dying investigation.”
As SPD spokesperson Bianca Johnson explained, homicide detectives examine just about every unattended demise. In this situation, detectives could not instantly identify what induced Mills’s demise, so they requested an autopsy, which will be carried out by the Ga Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
Detectives think this is an isolated incident and not involved with the place.
On April 1, Bianca Johnson despatched a push release, expressing, upon additional investigation, SPD detectives have dominated the loss of life a murder.
“They are continuing to look into the situation bordering the incident and do not have further details available for release at this time,” Johnson wrote in the press release.
